Rusty Compass Coffeehouse in Haines

The service was excellent. They made a really tasty vegan wrap on request. The zucchini coffee cake was great as well. The ambience was good and so was the choice of music.

A bit pricey but great cold brew, delicious cookies and amazing sandwiches! Toilet is very clean and they have free wifi.Staff is very friendly.

Love this place! Great fresh local coffee. Great atmosphere. It has a rustic feel and local photographer photos in the back room. I also love the biscuits and gravy. Very chunky and flavored nicely with a little kick. The soup and pananis are also very good and made fresh.

Delicious food! Great service! Their cinnamon rolls are incredible! The owners are some of the most kind and helpful people we have ever met.

I said just for a joke that I would like a latte with full cream milk and the owner said he could make one with half and half if I wanted. I thought that would be nice and man it was great!! I only put one sugar in it but it was so tasty. Probably 10,000 calories but hey, you only live once. Go get your latte 12 oz here.

The Rusty Compass is a nice, quaint place to relax with a cup of coffee and a pastry. Or if you're hungry for food they have a great variety of sandwiches and other food. And don't forget to save room for ice cream! The staff here is friendly and amazing. If you don't have time for anything else in Haines, make this your stop!

Best place for a good cup of coffee and checking your emails before heading back on the ships or wherever you’re going to.Beautiful surroundings and charming little place.

Loved this place! Visited every day I was in Haines. Mocha every time and I got a chocolate chip cookie twice. Staff was super friendly and everything was good. Very accessible if you are anywhere in town.Internet worked intermittently for me but I read interesting books that were there so not a problem. Be sure to check out the funny coffee bag designs from their supplier as well as the great photography in the back

Excellent coffee. Very busy but good service and a nice place. If we are ever in Haines Alaska again we will look forward to another visit. Great to have seating outside.

This is one of the best Coffeehouses I've ever been! Delicious Coffee and Tea, Cookies, Sandwiches and Goodies to buy. I love the atmosphere. Next time I'm in Haines I will get back to the Rusty Compass Coffeehouse.

This is a lovely place to visit. Staff are welcoming and the food is unbelievably good. I don't usually eat sweet stuff but I enjoyed the zucchini blueberry coffee cake. You must give it try!
